THE BIBLE: We believe The Bible, the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is uniquely, verbally, and fully inspired by God and was written without error in the original manuscripts, as God moved certain men to write it down.  It is the supreme and final authority for all matters of faith and practice.

2Timothy 3:16-17; Deuteronomy 4:2; 1Peter 1:25; 2Peter 1:20-21

THE TRINITY: We believe God exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, each possessing equally all the attributes and characteristics of deity and distinct personality.

Matthew 28:19; John 14:25-27a; John 1:33-34

GOD THE FATHER: We believe God the Father is the personal, transcendent, eternal, and sovereign creator, who lovingly created and sustains the universe.

1Corinthians 8:6a; Isaiah 64:8; Exodus 20:2-3

GOD THE SON: We believe Jesus Christ is God, the Living Word, Who became flesh by the power of God’s Spirit, through His life, death, and resurrection we are reconciled to God.  He lived a sinless life, atoned for our sins on the cross, providing salvation for all who trust in Him alone. He rose from the dead, appeared in the body, ascended back into Heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father, where He now intercedes for us.

Colossians 1:13-22; Philippians 2:5-11; Isaiah 53:1-12;  1Timothy 2:5

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT: We believe the Holy Spirit is God and He convicts and conforms sinners to Christ, imparting new life to them, indwelling them from the moment of genuine belief, and sealing them as God’s possession until the Day of Redemption. His power and presence is meant to be exhibited in the life of every believer, by saving faith in Jesus Christ.

Acts 5:1-4; Romans 8:9-16; Ephesians 1:13-14; 5:15-18; John 16:7-9

SINFULNESS OF MAN: We believe all humans have inherited a sinful nature from Adam, apart from salvation through Jesus Christ, there is no hope of forgiveness for sin and eternal life.

Romans 1:21-32; 3:10-12, 23a; 6:23a; John 8:24; 14:6

SALVATION: We believe salvation is wholly the work of God, Who imputes righteousness to all who have faith in Christ.  All those who are born again by the Spirit of God are immediately and eternally saved through faith in Christ.  Salvation is not from human merit through works or goodness or ceremony; but by the witness and presence of the Holy Spirit who confirms in the believer the testimony of God as revealed in His Word.

Romans 5:8; 10:9-10, 13; Ephesians 1:13-14; 2:8-10

THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH: We believe Jesus Christ is the Head of the body, the Church, consisting of all persons, living or dead, who are both filled with and baptized by the Holy Spirit into one body, the Church, under one Lord, Christ.

Colossians 1:18; Acts 20:28; Ephesians 3:10; 4:4-6; 1Corinthians 12:13

THE LOCAL CHURCH: We believe the local church is a fellowship of believers who, in obedience, come together regularly for worship, prayer, instruction, fellowship, the receiving of offerings, and for observance of the two ordinances given by Jesus: Water Baptism, and the Lord’s Supper.  The local church has been commissioned by Christ, the Head of the Church, to reach lost people and disciple them into fully devoted followers of Christ.  The local church is to be led by a plurality of biblically qualified elders, as confirmed by the Spirit according to the Word of God, under the headship of Christ.

Acts 2:42; Matthew 18:19-20; Ephesians 4:11-14; 1Peter 5:1-3

THE FUTURE: We believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ, in the resurrection of the dead, in God’s judgment of all persons with perfect justice and mercy, and in eternal reward and punishment.  Ultimately, Christ’s Kingdom will be victorious over evil and the faithful will live with Him eternally.

1Corinthians 15:50-58; 1Thessalonians 4:14-18; Revelation 20:1-14
