Direct message the job poster from Akkodis Vertical Manager (West) – US Markets, GRC-India Akkodis is seeking a highly skilled Application Penetration Tester with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in application security and a knack for resolving complex technical challenges in distributed environments. In this role, you’ll use your deep understanding of application security and testing tools like SAST, DAST, and SCA to conduct thorough assessments across both web and mobile platforms . Your responsibilities will range from source code reviews to adversarial simulation , ensuring critical security controls are tested, validated, and continuously improved. We actively encourage and support ongoing learning and professional growth through research, training, and practical experience. Pay Range: $120,000 to $190,000. The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Key Responsibilities: Conduct penetration tests, vulnerability scans, and social engineering on web and mobile applications. Validate security controls across front-end interfaces and backend services. Perform deep-dive source code reviews and consult with stakeholders on findings. Apply static and dynamic application security testing techniques. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous monitoring. Leverage threat intelligence and adversarial tactics to assess real-world attack readiness. Create and deliver clear, actionable reports and presentations for diverse audiences. Develop and refine internal tools and methodologies to enhance assessment quality. Propose and design new assessments based on findings and client infrastructure. Conduct independent research and contribute to a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing. Support various operational initiatives and special projects within the program. Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years of direct experience in application penetration testing, or 5+ years in web/mobile application development with at least 2 years in offensive security. Strong foundation in application, system, and network security. Proficient in both Windows and Unix/Linux systems. Experience writing and understanding code in languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, Bash, Ruby, Perl, or C# . Skilled with industry-standard tools like Burp Suite Pro (and relevant plugins/extensions). Proficient in tools such as Black Duck, Coverity, Checkmarx, Fortify, OWASP ZAP, NetSparker, VeraCode, Acunetix, Plextrac , and others.
